Ready to order your Estrada roller door? Read our roller door installation instructions for easy-to-follow technical information. Whether you're a DIY enthusiast or a professional installer, our roller door track length calculator will help you complete your order and facilitate installation.
When calculating track length, a general rule of thumb is to calculate twice your door width. However, this measurement usually ends up slightly longer than required. Use our roller door track length calculator to determine which track size is best suited for your door. Please note this calculation is specific to Estrada Systems only.
Estrada stocks a range of track lengths depending on your requirements, and the above recommendation is only a guide. Selecting a track that is too short or long may result in Soft Close kits that must be modified to fit. Track lengths outside our normal range are possible; please contact us for options.
Adequate clearance on any sliding door is crucial. You can use our Clearance Spacer kits to increase the clearance, ensuring your door can slide past any light switches, architrave, skirting, or other items protruding from the wall.
Clearance will differ between each installation based on your roller door style, door thickness, and skirting or architrave dimensions. The required Clearance Spacer kit is automatically added to your order when you order a system online.
Use the calculator below to determine the correct size Clearance Spacer Kit.Recommended Clearance: = 10mm (Minimum = 8mm)
Please note this calculation is specific to Estrada System only. Spoke Rollers have a narrow profile so standard clearance is less than Flat & Curve Rollers.
We recommend GIB Inserts for doors over 50kgs. These will eliminate sagging of the track system over time due to compression of the plasterboard. GIB inserts are available for standard 10mm plasterboard and thicker, less commonly used 13mm plasterboard.
GIB inserts are fitted into the plasterboard behind each standoff. Simply drill out a piece of plasterboard using a 35mm spade bit (sold separately). Contact us for more information on roller door installation instructions.
