Any sliding or barn style door can work great.  Even if you have an old hinged door chances are you can create an awesome barn style sliding door.

Our hardware is used on one-off custom made doors as well simple home made MDF panels.

Most doors can be used however the hardware allows for door with a weight of 80kgs (talk to us how to increase this significantly) and a door thickness of 32-45mm. 

If you have a thicker door than most we have a couple of solutions that can accommodate thick doors.

If the weight of your door is getting up there we can modify the tracking system and make some changes to the hardware to enable the use of heavy doors.  We recommend using bar type rollers for heavier doors over our pendant sales.

We supply hardware for very narrow spaces right through to any length you can imagine. We have supplied track lengths in excess of 15m long!

We can work with you to create a solution for any size door you wish.

Exterior Doors

Our kits are aimed at interior use however if you would like to discuss using our hardware outdoors it is best you get in touch.

Both hollow core and solid core doors can work with our hardware. There are a few tips we can give you if working with hollow core doors.

Our pendant styles work great as hollow doors are very light.  The door will need a suitable top rail. If you're unsure it's best to get in touch with us. 

This will depend somewhat on your type of door. The noise is comparable to a standard cavity slider door however your door weight and material will have some effect on this.

Our roller wheels are manufactured from a technical composite plastic meaning smooth operation while being extremely hardwearing. Double ball bearings are used for effortless operation.  

We don't use steel wheels due to the noise they generate and the damage they cause to the tracks coating.

Opening and closing the door is effortless using our systems. If your door is used a lot or you have little ones, we recommend to fit our Soft-to-Stop soft closing system for this reason.

The full weight of the door will be supported by the track and the fixtures into the wall. 

The bottom of the door is set just off the floor and a small guide (supplied in kit) is fixed to the floor.  This guide runs in a groove in the door that guides it along a straight path and prevents the door from swinging outwards. 

When setup correctly the floor guide should go unnoticed when the door is both open and closed.

We do have heavy duty wall mounted guides available and can advise on the use of these.

Track length is roughly twice your door (not doorway) width, however this really depends on two factors. 

Firstly, how much wider your door is than the door way and secondly how much "track overhang" you're happy with. Some people prefer the track ending on the edge of the door and others like to have the track continue on slightly further (track overhang).

Track overhang can give you greater flexibility when installing the track and often looks good on larger door as the track is a real feature.

If you are getting any custom work done there will be a lead time. This is totally dependant on our workload but usually your order will dispatched within one week.

If you are working to a tight time frame please get in touch so we can work out when you can expect your items.

Non custom items will be packaged the same or following day of the order.

Our courier collection days are Tuesday and Thursday only. Delivery times vary from 2-4 days.

Once your items are packaged up and collected by our courier you will receive a tracking number (Kits and Tracks only.)

We use Fastway for our large items and NZ Post for smaller items.

Small items (handles, locks etc): 

NZ wide - $9  / Rural - $14

Large items (kits, tracks etc): 

North Island - $15 / Rural - $25

There are some length restrictions on rural delivery (often max. 2m) therefore we suggest using a non rural address where possible. We reserve the right to charge a rural excess fee if the incorrect shipping method is selected.

Bank Transfer

If you would like to pay via bank transfer this is not a problem at all. We can send you an invoice with all the details on it.

Length

We can create ANY size track you require.  We have done really short tracks under 1 meter right up to 14 meters long!

This is often achieved by using our unique Slim Style track joiner which are designed especially for our tracks.

Hole Spacing

If you're needing specific hole centres we can do this also by making a custom track or starting with a blank track.

Cost

Costs for custom work is priced case by case so its best to get in touch.  

Our tracks are laser cut therefore done in bulk to keep costs down.  Naturally it is more expensive to have "one offs" done however depending on what your track specifications are it maybe a feasible option.  If hole spacing is critical this maybe your best option.

Often it is cheeper to modify the tracks we stock.  We can cut tracks down, join multiple tracks and drill new holes if required.

We really enjoy making one off custom designed hardware. As we manufacture a-lot of our hardware here in NZ we have the ability to create one-off designs and/or colours.

It maybe a unique roller design or material such as Stainless Steel or Corten which you're after.  Let us talk you through some possibilities.  

Naturally the cost does increase with bespoke items and we are happy to discuss this with you further. 

If you're a little handy you'll have no worries at all. Our kits are all supplied with very clear instructions with illustrations.

We are available for after sales support via phone or email. We are always happy to help be it yourself, your installer or builder.

The tools you may need are: Electric drill, drill bits, sockets or spanners, level, pencil and a tape measure.

The kits includes a floor guide so you may need to groove the bottom of the door. This requires a circular saw or router. If you don't want to do this, other floor guides are available from us that run on the outside of the door.

We understand seeing something online is not the same as holding it in your hand. If you change your mind and would like a different style, it's no worries at all.

Just send your hardware back in original unused condition and we will exchange it for you. Any difference in price will either be charged or refunded to you.

If you don't want to exchange your items this is OK also, we will be happy to refund your purchase price in full.

Any freight charges or custom made items are not covered by this policy.
